125: Electric 125 for drivers to save fuel

2022 is the right time to rethink your own mobility. Putin’s war in Ukraine has caused fuel prices to soar to previously unimaginable heights. And at some point every driver and biker will have to do their part to protect the climate.
AUTO BILD MOTORRAD has a suggestion for everyone who doesn’t have the guts to switch to an electric car straight away: The following seven electric motorcycles don’t need any fuel. And they fall in the 125 class and are therefore allowed to be driven with the B196 driver’s license.

Every two-wheeler needs these things

BMW CE 04

According to BMW, the motorcycle division has put the future of the electric scooter on wheels. The spacey two-wheeler is called CE 04. The large scooter is to inherit the 48 hp BMW C Evolution. He is suitably positioned for this. BMW specifies a maximum output of 42 hp. The continuous output is A1 or B196 compliant at 15 hp.

The BMW should come 130 kilometers far

The Bavarians put the range at 130 kilometers, and the sprint from 0 to 50 things takes 2.6 seconds. The CE 04 needs 65 minutes to recharge 80 percent of the battery on the quick charger. BMW states a power consumption of 7.7 kWh per 100 km. Top: 120 km/h. Price: from 11,990 euros.
Cake Ösa Flex+
If you like minimalism, Cake should be the right choice for you. The Ösa Flex+ goes straight through as a design statement.

Cake Ösa Flex+

The Cake company from Sweden builds motorcycles based on the motto “less is more”. Everything that is needed is there. Everything else is not. A clever, Cake-specific detail is the position of the electric motor. It sits coaxially to the swingarm axis and thus ensures that the toothed belt always remains tensioned.

Many options for transportation

The Cake Ösa Flex+ model comes with 13.6 hp and costs just under 10,000 euros. The range of the Swedish design piece is given as 100 kilometers. The battery can be removed for charging. In addition, the manufacturer offers a wide range of accessories and various options for a wide variety of transport tasks.
eRockit

On eRockit you have to pedal like on a bicycle. It takes getting used to, but it’s fun.

eRockit

E bike? pedelec? Motorcycle? Anyone standing in front of the eRockit will probably scratch their heads at first. Not because of the crazy look of the unique device. But because of the concept behind it. You have to pedal like you would on a bicycle, which is good for your health. However, the pedals work like the throttle grip on a motorcycle and only give impulses to the electric motor.

The eRockit takes you onto the expressway

It briefly drives the rear wheel with up to 21.7 hp and makes eRockit suitable for expressways. However, the continuous output is “only” 5 kW (6.8 hp). This means that eRockit can be driven with the B196 driver’s license. The driving pleasure is huge, but unfortunately the price is decent: It starts at 11,850 euros.
Govec's E Swallow

Govecs managed to get the swallow back. The E version looks great and drives very solid.

Govec’s e-Schwalbe

The Schwalbe also drives in the electric scooter league – and there up to the upper end of the price scale. The Govecs company from Munich has successfully revived the cult scooter: as the 45 version, the E-Schwalbe has an output of four kW and sees itself as an alternative to 50-series combustion engines.

With the large engine, the Schwalbe is 90 km/h fast

The maximum speed is then 45 km/h. The Schwalbe 90 has 10.9 hp and runs at speeds of up to 90 km/h. At least 5590 euros must be invested for the basic model. In addition, the Munich company has other interesting e-scooter models on offer.
