20,000 euros special payment: leasing offer for the VW ID.Buzz

Volkswagen electrifies the Bulli! Visually, the VW ID.Buzz pays homage to the legendary VW T1 with short overhangs, two-tone paintwork and an extra-large logo. But the technology is state-of-the-art, because the 4.71 meter long Bulli is electric. A 150 kW (204 hp) electric motor on the rear axle accelerates the ID.Buzz to a maximum speed of 145 km/h. The 77 kWh battery should ensure a maximum range of 423 kilometers. A smaller entry-level version is also conceivable at a later date.
The VW ID.Buzz has been available to order since the end of May 2022 as a five-seater or as a practical “Cargo” transporter. Prices for the commercial vehicle start at EUR 54,431 for the Cargo and EUR 64,581 for the bus. The first customer vehicles are to be delivered by September 2022.
The ID.Buzz isn’t even on the market yet, and the first interesting leasing offers are already available: At sparneuwagen.de (cooperation partner of AUTO BILD), private customers can currently lease the five-seater VW ID.Buzz for EUR 351 gross per month. The term is given as 48 months and 10,000 free kilometers per year. The offer states that the ID.Buzz is available immediately. (maintenance costs to calculate? To the car insurance comparison!)
Lease VW ID.Buzz: 20,000 euros one-time special payment
However, a one-time down payment of hefty 20,000 euros is due. Of this, however, only 5000 euros will be reimbursed by the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) after correct and timely application for the environmental bonus. This means that the total leasing costs for four years of driving the VW ID.Buzz are EUR 31,848 gross (EUR 351 times 48 plus EUR 15,000) – plus transfer costs.
This corresponds to almost exactly 50 percent of the current new price. Private leasing customers receive a freely configurable ID.Buzz for an additional charge. Features such as two-zone automatic air conditioning, keyless go, lane departure warning, 19-inch rims, LED headlights and DAB are already on board as standard. According to sparneuwagen.de, the offer may no longer be available at short notice due to high demand. An overview of all interesting leasing deals can be found here!
