Who does that? In Great Britain was a brand new Audi RS 4 in storage and almost never drove – that was in 2007. Now, 14 years later, the 420 hp sedan with a naturally aspirated V8 is to be auctioned. Of the Odometer reading? Virgin 217 miles (349 kilometers)!
Presumably this is the case RS 4 B7 for the example with the lowest mileage in the world, because the average annual distance is an unbelievable 20.5 kilometers – most cyclists can do that in one day. Obviously, the Audi RS 4 B7 was not bought to drive. Whether it should be an investment is uncertain, because little is known about the history of the Audi in the elegant exterior color “Mugello blue, pearl effect”. According to Silverstone Auctions, the RS 4 was immediately bought by father and son stored and almost never moved. It is therefore not surprising that the Audi inside and outside in absolute top condition is. The black leather interior is as good as unused and the paint shows no signs of damage such as dents or scratches. The only blemishes are minimal signs of age on individual chrome parts which is due to the long service life. But here the first and only owner has already taken precautions and so new trim parts and emblems are included in the purchase.
The interior looks like new. No wonder, given a mileage of only 349 kilometers.
RS 4 B7 in new car condition
In order to prove its immaculate condition, the RS 4 was presented to an Audi dealer in the run-up to the auction, the Power limousine the condition of a new car attested. Performance values between 370 and 400 hp are considered realistic. Otherwise, the same V8 works in the RS 4 as in the Audi R8 V8. Unlike the sports car brother, the RS 4 was only available with Six-speed manual transmission.
The high-revving V8 has officially not even run in.
With used Audi RS 4, of all things, he does Engine problems again and again. Well-maintained RS 4s are available from around 35,000 euros, although models with less than 100,000 kilometers are very rare and can cost upwards of 40,000 euros. Comparable vehicles in new condition, or only with less than 30,000 kilometers, it is almost impossible to find. All the more surprising that the RS 4 shown here is being auctioned without a reserve price. Predicting an approximate selling price is more than difficult, but if I had to guess, I would say that this Audi RS 4 when new will bring in at least 60,000 euros when it is auctioned at the NEC Classic Motor Show in mid-November.
