Also in week 34, the necessary new series of films appeared on Netflix. Since this week you can look at, among other things A Star is Born, the fifth season of Match and a new adult animated series.

Good news for fans of Match. Netflix has saved the hit series and the fifth season is now up for you. In addition, the streaming service also comes with a new animated series about a swearing basketball coach and an exciting German thriller. Furthermore, we delve into the history of the game industry and see A Star is Born the film debut of Lady Gaga.

New on Netflix in week 34:

1. Lucifer (season 5)

Genre: crime

Ruling hell is a pretty tough job. Not surprising that the devil will be done with that. That’s why he turns in Match back to Earth. Here he starts a nightclub. He just can’t enjoy it much, because he befriends a detective. As the devil, he has certain talents that make him the ideal crime solver. A very entertaining adventure that, thanks to Netflix (the streaming service saved the series), is far from finished.

2. A Star is Born

Genre: drama

One of the best drama films of 2018 has made its way to Netflix. A Star is Born tells the story of an ambitious singer, played by Lady Gaga. Her career gets a huge boost when she gets involved with an experienced musician played by Bradley Cooper. Together they storm the charts, but darkness looms. She continues to grow and he slips.

3. Hoops

Genre: comedy

There are already quite a number of adult animated series on Netflix and another one has now been added. In Hoops we follow a swearing basketball coach. His father was a big star and he wants to follow in his footsteps. Unfortunately, he cannot do much of it himself and trains a school team that has just as little talent. An impossible challenge, but with a lot of abuse and perseverance, he does everything he can to make his dream a reality.

4. High Score

Genre: documentary

Netflix goes back in time. Back to the early days of the game industry. It is spread over six episodes in High Score looking back at the most important events in video game history. From the very first console to the introduction of Mario and later the step to 3D. You can read more about this series here.

5. Biohackers

Genre: thriller

Netflix comes after Dark again with a thrilling thriller from Germany. In Biohackers we follow Mia. She is a medical student at a top university. She doesn’t come there for a diploma, but to take revenge on one of the mysterious professors who teaches there. This professor Lorenz carries a dark secret with him and is responsible for a traumatic event from Mia’s childhood.
