As soon as these results were announced, and in accordance with the protocol put in place by the health authorities and the club’s medical authorities, FC Metz took the necessary measures to protect all of its staff, ”the Moselle club wrote on Friday. in a press release.

The reserve team of FC Metz is playing in Group B of National 2, whose championship has been stopped since the end of October 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The competition was to resume in March but the authorities decided at the end of February not to allow this resumption.

On this side of the border, sports competitions are strongly at a standstill. Last Monday, the Luxembourg Football Federation decided to stop the national championships, with the exception of the BGL League, Women’s Ligue 1 and Division 1 of futsal. Competitions which will however be held under close health surveillance, in particular through the massive use of rapid tests.
