Acclaimed sci-fi game trilogy Mass Effect is getting a remaster

Developer BioWare has announced this. The Mass Effect Legendary contains all three original games, previously released on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, among others.

The new package appears for current game consoles, including the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S / X and again the PC. The renewed version runs at a 4K higher resolution and has been visually improved in several areas.

The first Mass Effect appeared for the Xbox 360, after which later parts were also released on other game consoles. Choices made in the first game in 2007 impacted the events of the 2012 finale.

Rumors about the remastered bundle had been circulating for months, because online stores several times accidentally put the game online too early.

New Mass Effect

Developer BioWare also says it is working on a completely new Mass Effect game. Many details have not yet been revealed, but the studio promises that an experienced team will make the game.

The company seems to be responding to the previously released Mass Effect Andromeda. That sequel was made by a new branch of the game studio, but was ultimately very poorly received.
