The iPad Pro * is the best tablet – in both available versions (eleven and 12.9 inches). This was the result of the product test by Stiftung Warentest (07/20). A total of 17 tablets were tested. The grade “good” was given ten times, while the remaining seven devices were rated “satisfactory”. The iPad Pro was able to clearly prevail against the other tested tablets with an overall grade of 1.7.
Stiftung Warentest: the best cheap alternative to the iPad Pro
But so much quality has its price. The cheapest version of the iPad Pro costs a proud 879.00 euros *. And with all possible upgrades, you can even pay up to 1,819.00 euros for it. Because not everyone can or wants to afford this, Stiftung Warentest has also made a recommendation for the best cheap tablet. This is the Smart Tab M8 from Lenovo, which is significantly more affordable than the iPad Pro at an RRP of only 129.00 euros *.
Good and cheap tablet: The Smart Tab M8 from Lenovo on offer at Amazon
Lenovo Smart Tab M8 – 119.00 euros instead of 129.00 euros at Amazon *

As Stiftung Warentest has tested
In the test by Stiftung Warentest, the tablets were rated based on the five criteria of functions, display, battery, handling and versatility, with the Smart Tab M8 from Lenovo * receiving an overall grade of 2.2. It scored particularly well with its very good battery as well as its good display and easy handling. There were trade-offs in terms of functions and versatility. Nevertheless, the Stiftung Warentest gives a clear recommendation for the price miracle: The testers’ conclusion is good and cheap.
What else you should know about the Lenovo Smart Tab M8
Of course, the Smart Tab M8 from Lenovo * is so cheap because it is much smaller than the test winner * or the second-placed Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro *. Its screen diagonal is only eight inches. But it has a razor-sharp touch display with intense and lively colors and a reliable battery with up to twelve hours of running time. The Smart Pad M8 from Lenovo may not be a high-performance computer in contrast to the iPad Pro, but it is definitely sufficient for everyday use (for example on the train on the way to work) or as a learning device for the children.
