ADO The Hague has confirmed the arrival of head coach Aleksandar Rankovic. The 41-year-old Serb has selected Richard Knopper, Michele Santoni and Rick Hoogendorp as his assistants. The technical staff has been committed for two years, reports the Premier Divisionist,
Rankovic starts his first assignment in The Hague as head coach in professional football. He previously served as an assistant to Henk Fraser at Vitesse and Sparta Rotterdam, where he had worked for the past two seasons.
Rankovic played for ADO between 2005 and 2011. The former midfielder was also active as a youth trainer for the Hague club. To support the new technical staff, ADO Den Haag has formed a so-called technical heart. Martin Jol, who has been a technical advisor since late December, is the head of this body. “We created this body to realize a strong long-term vision in the technical field. In addition to Jol, Albert van der Dussen and Aleksandar Rankovic take part in this technical framework,” explains director Mohammed Hamdi.
