The lessor ALD Automotive has confirmed that wind power now supplies all of its French sites.
By announcing its Move 2025 plan, ALD Automotive explained that it was targeting 30% of electrified vehicles by 2025. It had also announced other initiatives, in particular for recharging. As part of this, the lessor revealed that wind power now supplies all of its sites in France.
The Société Générale Group subsidiary has opted for energy produced in France for its Mobility Centers. ALD Automotive explains “Place corporate social responsibility at the heart of its actions”.
“Very proud to announce that since January 1, 2021, all ALD Automotive sites are now supplied by the purchase of guaranteed electricity from wind power”ALD Automotive said on its Twitter account to announce the news.
Still according to the lessor, the initiative is part of the “Climate” strategy implemented for several years by the Société Générale group. The branches of the banking brand also use hydroelectric and wind energy. According to ALD Automotive, this choice resulted in a 75% reduction in the carbon footprint of their operation.
