As of today (06/02/2022), Aldi is selling a well-equipped 58-inch Smart TV at a good price. But the competition is against it.

Aldi will be selling a smart UHD television very, very cheaply in its online shop from June 2, 2022 – i.e. from today. The Medion Life X15811 (MD 30110) is a 58-inch (146.1 cm screen diagonal) smart TV with a 16:9 ratio for only 449 euros. That is
still a good deal according to our price comparison, but there are now alternatives.
The resolution is 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, Aldi states the static contrast as 5,000:1 and Aldi states the dynamic contrast as 28,000:1. The brightness is 350 cd/m².
You receive the TV picture with the built-in HD triple tuner for DVB-T2 HD, DVB-C and DVB-S2. The TV also has a WLAN module, so you can receive Internet with the TV. As usual, a number of apps are available, including for Netflix and Amazon Prime – but you have to take out the corresponding subscriptions separately.
You can record programs using an external memory (which is not included in the price). In conjunction with a corresponding CI+ module and a smart card, the integrated CI+ interface enables the reception of encrypted programmes. The technical equipment also includes Dolby Vision and HDR, child safety and much more.
Lots of connections and more information
The Medion Life X15811 has four HDMI ports, a LAN port, VGA port and two USB ports. Headphone connection (3.5 mm jack) and digital audio out (SPDIF) (optical) are also available. Stereo loudspeakers 2x 10 watts RMS are installed. Wall mounting is possible using the VESA standard (hole spacing 200 x 200 mm).
Aldi names E (spectrum A to G) as the energy efficiency class, the power consumption is approx. 170 kWh per 1,000 hours. The energy consumption when switched on should be around 70 watts (SDR) or 115 W (HDR).
Aldi delivers the TV to your home. The scope of delivery includes a remote control with batteries and a user manual. You can also operate the television with your smartphone using the Medion Life Remote app.

appraisal and price
449 euros is a really good price for a 58-inch smart TV.
But as a look at our price comparison shows,
you can now get a Smart TV of this size at a comparable price from some other providers; for example the
Hisense 58AE7000F.
