5x a natural toilet freshener
If you want a non-overpowering, subtle scent in the toilet, there are a few natural options. Be aware that over time you can become ‘blind’ to scents, so it doesn’t hurt to vary with the tips below.
1: Dried eucalyptus leaves
Eucalyptus has everything: it has an attractive atmosphere and it smells good. Hang a few branches on a ribbon or put them in a vase (you), and you are assured of a fresh scent in the toilet every day.
2: Cozy fragrance sticks
In fact, the same story applies to fragrance sticks as to the eucalyptus leaves: they are pleasant smelling atmosphere creators. All you have to do is turn or replace the fragrance sticks once every 1.5 to 2 weeks.
3: Work with essential oils
This is such a typical tip that you would have liked to know earlier. What you do: Every time you hang a new toilet roll, put 3 to 5 drops of essential oil on the inside of the cardboard roll. Don’t be too generous with drops or the scent will become very overpowering and less attractive.
Which scents can you think of? Lemon, orange, lavender and eucalyptus fall into the category of ‘favorite toilet scent of many.’
4: Delicious scented candles
Candles, at the editorial office we think you can’t get enough of them in your house. And why only leave them in the living room shine if they bring an extra touch of cosiness and refreshment in the toilet. Very nice idea, even if you have guests over.
5: Sachet of potpourri
Grandma’s tip for a fresh-smelling toilet: a bag of potpourri. This is a mixture of dried flowers and other ingredients in an open container or bag. Hang it on the toilet roll holder or find another place.
