Aston Martin V12 Vantage: full-fat stage with 700 hp goodbye
At the end of the Vantage construction period, Aston Martin speaks of farewell for the first time. Not from the car itself, but from the V12 under the hood. In the current generation, the British once again strapped the mighty 5.2-liter behind the front axle and limited the whole thing to 333 copies.
That all are already sold out could be because the Aston Martin V12 Vantage was the last chance to buy a car of this type new.
700 hp, 753 Nm torque, 322 km/h top speed
The biturbo sends a smooth 700 hp to the rear wheels, and 753 Newton meters of torque are no less impressive. Aston Martin is aiming for a top speed of 322 km/h, and the hundred mark should fall in 3.5 seconds.
In order to bring all these performance values safely to the road, the developers have drawn from the full in terms of chassis and, above all, aerodynamics: the wide body accommodates a 40 millimeter wider track, and there is a mechanical limited-slip differential on the rear axle. The wing package provides 204 kilograms of downforce at top speed.
The V12 Vantage will start in summer 2022
The lightweight exhaust system saves 7.2 kg compared to the normal Vantage, carbon fiber bucket seats another 7.3 kg. The carbon-ceramic brake system with 410 discs reduces the weight by another 23 kilos and also increases stability when decelerating.
