Asus Zenfone 9: high-end smartphone with an integrated camera gimbal






In August, Asus is launching a new Zenfone model with an integrated gimbal for 800 euros on the German market.

Manufacturer Asus presented a new high-end smartphone this week with the Zenfone 9. As with the predecessor, Asus also relies on compact dimensions for the new Zenfone. The device weighs 169 grams and is supposed to fit comfortably in the hand at 146.5 x 68.1 x 9.1 millimeters. The AMOLED screen measures 5.9 inches and has a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. The maximum refresh rate is 120 Hz. Gorilla Glass Victus is designed to protect the display from scratches.

Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 and multiple memory executions

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 works in the case of the Zenfone 9. The smartphone will be available in three different memory versions. Model number one offers eight gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of internal memory and the second model comes with eight gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal memory, the third model offers 16 gigabytes of RAM and 265 gigabytes of internal memory. There is no additional slot for memory cards.

Gimbal handles image stabilization

Similar to the smartphones from Vivo, Asus has installed a 6-axis gimbal in the dual camera on the back of the Zenfone 9, which is intended to replace the optical image stabilizer. The main camera, which has a resolution of 50 megapixels, benefits from the gimbal. The second lens is a super wide-angle camera with twelve megapixels. The front camera also has a resolution of twelve megapixels.

Available in Germany from August

Other features include a 4,300 mAh battery that can be charged quickly with up to 30 watts and an additional button that the user can assign different functions to. The Zenfone 9 comes with Android 12 and has an IP68 certification.

The model with eight gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of memory costs 800 euros, eight gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of memory cost 850 euros and the third version with 16 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of memory costs 900 euros. The new Zenfone generation will be available in Germany from August 12th.
