Atari: 50th Birthday Games Collection

Atari celebrates its 50th birthday this year and releases the game collection “Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration”.

Publisher Atari is celebrating its 50th company anniversary this year. To celebrate, the company is teaming up with the retro experts at Digital Eclipse. The two companies have put together a games collection that is said to cover 50 years of gaming history.

More than 90 games on board

The collection is called “Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration” and includes more than 90 games. This includes six new titles inspired by consoles like Jaguar, Lynx and the 2600. Archive photos and interviews round off the retro collection. Digital Eclipse has already made a name for itself with several game collections. For example, they put together the “Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection” for Capcom.

Release planned for November

When it comes to emulation or classic revivals, or any kind of remastering or reimagining, I don’t know if anyone does it better than Digital Eclipse, so they’ve always been our first choice.”

explains Atari CEO Wade Rosen in an interview with Game Informer. The “Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration” is expected to be released in November for PC, Playstation 4, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Switch, Atari VCS and PC.
