ATP adds new tournaments to a thinned tennis calendar

Shortly after the start of the tennis season, the ATP added two more tournaments to the thinned calendar. These are ATP events in Singapore and Marbella. These tournaments have received a license for one year.

The Singapore indoor tournament (22-28 February) will be played immediately after the Australian Open, in the week prior to the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam. The clay tournament in Marbella will take place from April 5 to 11, following the Miami Masters Tournament.

The ATP also announced that the Budapest ATP tournament has surrendered the license to Belgrade. The Serbian city once took over the license from the Dutch Open in Amersfoort.

The tennis season started at the beginning of this month in Antalya and Delray Beach. The tennis players are currently in quarantine preparing for the Australian Open. The first grand slam tournament of the year starts on February 8.
