Audi Sport quattro in the AUTO BILD podcast

Episode 50: Audi Sport quattro

We’re celebrating an anniversary! For the 50th episode we drove a real rally legend – the Audi Sport quattro. The S1 became famous with Walter Röhrl at the wheel. More than 35 years later we drive the street version of which only 224 were built. In 1985, the Sport quattro cost over DM 200,000, twice as expensive as a Porsche 911 Turbo. But how impressive does the 306 hp feel today and is the “short” actually as legendary as its reputation? We will clarify that and much more in the anniversary episode of “First drive, then talk” from September 21, 2022, 4 p.m. wherever there are podcasts – and of course here at AUTO BILD!

That’s “drive first, talk later”

One car, two editors: The AUTO BILD podcast can be summarized as easily as that. The editors Peter Fischer and Jan Götze test a not always everyday car and then go into detail. Do you like that design? How good is the processing? What did you notice while driving?

In addition to important aspects such as design, technology, processing quality and driving performance, completely subjective points are also discussed. How is the image of the car? What will Peter and Jan remember for a long time? What might have been annoying? And, very important: Who should actually buy this car? There are answers to all these questions and more every Wednesday in the AUTO BILD podcast “First drive, then talk”.
