Auto Scroll: Move through Word documents faster






Microsoft’s word processor has a hidden function that allows you to navigate your documents without mouse clicks.

To set it up, go to “File -› Options ”, click on“ Customize ribbon ”and then set the“ All commands ”option under“ Select commands ”. Go down in the list to the entry “AutoScrollen”, mark it and click on “Add” and “OK”. The icon of a filled circle then appears in the title bar of Word. Click on it to activate the function.

If you now drag the mouse up or down, your document will scroll across the screen. The further you move the pointer towards the top or bottom of the screen, the faster the page will scroll. The function can be switched off again with a click on the document or on the icon.
