Apply Excel formulas to the entire column

If you want to apply the same formula to an entire column of numbers, do the following:

  1. Mark the field to the right of the top numerical value and select the desired formula.

  2. To apply the formula to all other lines as well, pull the box at the bottom right of the marking (the fill box) down until you have reached the bottom line. Excel then automatically fills the empty cells.

If the columns are very long, pulling boxes by hand can be cumbersome and require a lot of scrolling.
