The language app Babbel announced the launch of new free language courses in Ukrainian this week. With this campaign, the company wants to make it easier for refugees from Ukraine to arrive and live.
Courses for beginners and advanced
The courses, developed by linguists, are designed for quick learning of German, English and Polish. They are intended to promote independent communication and are aimed at beginners and advanced users. The new language courses can be used both via the Babbel apps for iOS and Android and via the Ukrainian-language website ua.babbel.com. In the courses, users learn to introduce themselves, use common expressions and talk about their everyday lives. Further beginner and advanced courses are to be added during the month.
Babbel supports refugees
“With a view to millions of refugees, our team has put something remarkable together in just a few weeks and implemented fully-fledged language courses in Ukrainian. We are pleased that we are creating a contribution that enables refugees to express themselves in the language of their host country and to make contact,”
says Babbel CEO Arne Schepker.
