Judo: Tessa Brouwer first female chairman of the union
11.50 pm: Tessa Brouwer was elected president of the Judo Bond Nederland (JBN) on Monday evening. She is the first woman to take up this position. The general meeting also proclaimed Hendrik Koppe the new top sport director. The management of the organization is therefore complete again after the necessary struggles of the past months.
Brouwer is a judge in daily life and also a practitioner of the Japanese discipline of aikido. To help develop this sport, she was a member of the national aikido committee from 1998 to 2010, the last five years as chair. Brouwer has been a member of the JBN appeals committee since 2011. The union awarded her as Member of Merit in 2016 with the golden badge.
Football: Election of president of Barcelona on January 24
11.20 pm: The election for the new president of Barcelona will be held on January 24. It concerns the succession of Josep Maria Bartomeu who stepped down earlier this year.

Figure skating: Van Zundert (15) wins NRW Trophy 2020

Speed skating: Japanese skaters avoid World Championship distances for safety reasons
6.24 pm: The Japanese skating team will not come to Heerenveen early next year for the World Championship distances and two World Cup competitions. The country’s skating federation questions the safety of the event, stressing that participants cannot earn points for entering the Olympics.

Volleyball: European Championship qualification volleyball players moved again
4:59 pm: The second round of the European Championship qualification that the Dutch volleyball players would finish in Topsportcentrum Rotterdam from 15 to 17 January 2021 has been postponed. The duels with Sweden and Croatia cannot take place due to the current corona measures.
It is the second time that the European Championship qualification has been postponed due to corona. Originally, the games were to be played in August and September of this year with away and home games. A second postponement will follow, probably in May. Volleyball association Nevobo is still negotiating about this. Play dates and location are not yet known.
The volleyball players also do not have to go to Croatia for the first three-way match from 8 to 10 January. Those matches will also be postponed to a date yet to be determined.
The Dutch men have to qualify in group A for the European Championship, which will be played in four host countries in 2021: Poland, the Czech Republic, Estonia and Finland. The numbers 1 of the seven groups and the five best numbers 2 qualify for the final round.
Football: Thomas Lam suspended five matches, 1 of which was suspended

Motorsport: TT Circuit in Assen opens season World Superbike Championship

Hockey: Annan national coach of hockey players until the 2022 World Cup
