Belgian films have been doing well abroad for some time, but now a special Belgian film is at the very top of the Netflix top 10 in the United States, Canada and Australia. It concerns the animation film Bigfoot Family from Belgian-French makers.
At the moment there is a film from Belgian soil in the first place on the American version of Netflix. The originally French-language animation film Bigfoot Family scores extremely well with the American youth and even outperforms the last part of To All The Boys, To All The Boys: Always and Forever, and the Netflix movie I Care A Lot for which Rosamund Pike received the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy earlier this week.
Bigfoot Family was directed by the Belgian duo Ben Stassen and Jérémie Degruson and was released in August 2020. The film is the sequel to Bigfoot Junior by the same directors from 2017 and is still about the mythical figure Bigfoot.
In Bigfoot Junior shows how Adam Harrison searches for his father and discovers that he is none other than Bigfoot himself. In the future, Bigfoot Family, we see how Bigfoot returns to civilization and develops into a real star there. That to the dismay of his son Adam who really just wants to lead a normal life. Meanwhile, Bigfoot also tries to save the environment, so he rushes off on a mission to Alaska and disappears there in the northern sun. It is then up to Adam to try to find his father again.
Is with us Bigfoot Family not yet available on Netflix. Bigfoot Junior can be viewed in our country.
