Bestsellers: The best and most popular SSDs on Amazon

An SSD belongs in every computer. We fished out the best deals among the most popular SSD customers.

Tempo:

There is no need for an expensive PCI Express SSD with data rates of several 1000 megabytes per second [MB/s] be – in practice you will not notice any difference to the SSDs with SATA connection, which reach around 500 to 550 MB / s.

Design:

SSDs are available in 2.5-inch format or as an M.2 plug-in card. You can only use M.2 if your notebook or the main board of your PC has a corresponding connection. The advantage of M.2: You do not need a data and power cable like with a 2.5-inch SSD, there is no speed advantage with SATA models.

Storage space

: The most common capacity of SDDs is between 240 and 4000 gigabytes. We recommend models with at least 240 GB for PCs and notebooks for office use, 512 GB for all-round notebooks and 1 terabyte (1 TB = 1000 GB) for all-round PCs. For gaming PCs, we recommend using a 2 TB model straight away – if your budget allows it.

Price:

SDDs with 1 TB storage space currently offer the cheapest price (per gigabyte). Here you only pay 11 cents per gigabyte!
