The 2 Series Active Tourer heralded a new era at BMW. Not only did the Munich-based company enter the van segment and try harder to tie families to the brand, the F45 was also the brand’s first vehicle with a transverse engine and front-wheel drive. The criticism was correspondingly great, especially from the ranks of our own fans. But the Munich-based bill paid off and the 2 Series Active Tourer sold around 430,000 times. So reason enough to produce a pimped up successor. Like the first Active Tourer, the U06 will also attract families to BMW dealerships, especially families, from the beginning of 2022 with a mixture of high utility value (thanks to the 1405-liter trunk) and efficient engines. Of course, there will also be a plug-in hybrid version of the new one. But before the U06 comes into the showrooms, it is of course important for the Munich-based company to sell as many active tourers of the current generation as possible. Accordingly, BMW is currently dealing generously with discounts. According to the list, the entry-level version of the 2 Series Active Tourer costs at least 28,500 euros. The successful BMW van is currently available at carwow.de with savings of more than 11,000 euros (As of November 1, 2021). (Important tips for buying a new car on the Internet!)
Since the market launch in 2014, BMW has stepped up the range of equipment, which is why the current 2 Series Active Tourer is currently available in five different equipment variants and in numerous drive versions. It is not surprising that for the highest possible discount you also have to choose a correspondingly high-priced basic model. At BMW, in this case it is the 190 hp diesel engine 220d with xDrive all-wheel-drive system and the Steptronic automatic transmission – in the nominally highest equipment version Luxury Line. In keeping with the promising name, numerous chrome details, standard leather seats and chic 17-inch wheels give the van a thoroughly luxurious appearance. Whether that the relatively high list price of 47,500 euros for the 2 series with diesel, automatic and all-wheel drive justified, remains to be seen. Because at carwow.de there are currently savings of up to 11,167 euros for the 190 hp version. The offers for the 220d xDrive in the Luxury Line start at 37,153 euros. This corresponds to a discount of around 22 percent (attention: the transfer costs can reduce the discount by a few hundred euros).
Around 4500 euros discount on the basis
Those who do not have so much money on the table for the purchase of a model that will soon be overhauled, but still want a versatile car with the BMW logo, can also be happy with the 2 Series Active Tourer in the basic version. Even if you have to be satisfied with fabric seats, 16-inch models and a cockpit without a navigation system. For this, the Active Tourer as a 216i costs just 28,500 euros according to the list. A price that carwow.de once again noticeably undercuts. Here the offers start at 23,905 euros and thus 4595 euros below the RRP. You rarely get a brand new BMW that cheaply. (Attention: Here, too, the transfer costs can reduce the discount by a few hundred euros) (Calculate maintenance? To compare car insurance!)
