BMW M 3.0 CSL Homage: Does the new edition cost 600,000 euros?

The BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage study presented in 2015 is still an eye-catcher today.
Even if the rumors about a new edition are not entirely new, the speculation was fueled again directly by the Instagram post. But let’s stick to the facts for now. In the pictures we see a camouflaged coupe – despite the eye-catching foil, however, interesting design details can be seen.
Round air inlets can be seen on the bottom left and right of the apron – a crystal-clear reminiscence of the original.
Roof edge spoiler like the original
The same goes for the rear. The eye-catching roof edge spoiler quotes the Batmobile, as does the large, fixed rear wing. If you look closely, you can also see the wide wheel arches.

The rear wing and roof edge spoiler are particularly striking. The extensions are only noticeable at second glance.
The homage should only take the basis of the 550 hp special model and have a completely new body – quasi coachbuilding by BMW.
How much horsepower does the new edition have?
Six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic?
It becomes particularly interesting when it comes to the choice of gearbox. It would be obvious that BMW uses the proven eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF. But there are also interesting rumors on this point: They say that BMW is launching the new edition exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission.
This thesis is supported by a sticker on the rear of the camouflaged prototype. It says: “6MT FTW” – i.e. “6 manual transmission for the win”.
The BMW M 3.0 CSL is said to be produced in a small series of just 50 units from November 2022. Unit price: around 600,000 euros! There are not only almost four M4 CSL, but also the “Batmobile”. But the two models should already be in the garage of most potential customers anyway.
