BMW wants “sporty DNA” in its i4 electric sedan

BMW claims to want to find with the behavior of its electric sedan i4 an optimal relationship between comfort and sportiness. The Munich brand wants to build on the existing balance on its Series 3 and Series 4, retaining the sporting imprint it has always had.

BMW continues to develop its first electric sedan and fine-tune its handling. The i4 will no longer have the thermal engines which were largely responsible for the sporty side of the models.

“For the first time, we have developed from scratch a BMW with sporty DNA for purely electric driving”, said the project manager. David Alfredo Ferrufino Camacho ensures that “The BMW i4 offers everything that BMW stands for”.

The ‘zero emission’ sedan is BMW’s opportunity to prove that an electric car can have character. The brand explains that despite the total weight associated with the batteries, the i4 will be able to have formidable road holding and dynamic behavior.

“The BMW i4 gives the feeling of being light and agile, but also stable on its downforce and confident. With its great precision and cornering stability, it literally seems stuck to the road. All electric vehicles are capable of strong straight line acceleration. But that’s not enough for us at BMW. “
