With the BMW X7, the Bavarian manufacturer’s currently thickest ship will also get a facelift in 2022. The luxury SUV receives a totally new front with even bigger kidneys. Otherwise, Munich is very reluctant to make changes. AUTO BILD has already had the high seat 7 series drawn and gives one outlook to the upcoming facelift!
New SUV front for the X7
“Always on the nose”, that seems to be the current motto in the BMW design department. Big kidneys are now part of the brand design, but there is still room for improvement – the facelift of the X7 proves this. But not only the new dimensions of the kidney grille make the new front so special. The real highlight is that new arrangement of lightsthat the upcoming X8 could also carry. Narrow daytime running lights replace the previous headlights, which will be located one floor lower for the facelift. BMW fans should get used to this front because it could be the new SUV front. The other revisions remain visually subtle: The apron is a little heavier to match the rest of the front. The sill could have new decorative elements on the side. Revised rear lights are conceivable at the rear. Not much should change inside, but new assistants could move into the SUV.
A BMW X7 plug-in hybrid would be conceivable
Under the hood, BMW will also fall back on tried and tested ingredients, including well-known mild hybrid technology. However, a plug-in hybrid drive is conceivable for model updates – So far, however, there are no concrete indications. The X7 facelift could be presented in the course of 2022 and be available from dealers in 2023.
