‘Bridgerton’ actor Regé-Jean Page responds to rumored relationship with co-star Phoebe Dynevor

In Bridgerton viewers get to see how Simon Basset and Daphne Bridgerton slowly grow closer to each other. And when that is done, passion splashes off. It is therefore logical that rumors quickly surfaced about a relationship between the two actors, Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor. The two have now responded to those rumors.

From the moment the Duke of Hastings, Simon Basset, and Daphne Bridgerton finally dare to admit their feelings for each other, it goes in Bridgerton very passionate about it. Actors Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor even had so much chemistry that fans immediately started speculating. Are the two in a relationship?

“More than enough”

According to Page and Dynevor, that chemistry is only there on the screen. In real life, they are not a couple at all. Regé-Jean Page said this during a joint interview with Access. “I think everything you need to know was filmed,” Page joked.

“That’s why we played it so well especially for you. The beautiful script we had received bursts with sparks ”, he added. “So I think those passionate moments in the series were more than enough.”

Anyone who can’t get enough of the chemistry between Page and Dynevor will Bridgerton have to binge on Netflix again. The two actors play the main characters in the series, Simon and Daphne.

During “wedding season” they decide to pretend they are in a relationship. That way, Daphne becomes more attractive to other men. At the same time, Simon can shake off attention. But – as you expected – the two really fall in love. Although they dare not admit that for a long time.

But there it stops Bridgerton not. The series from Netflix and Shondaland (the production house behind as well Grey’s Anatomy) keeps an eye on Simon and Daphne a little longer. Their relationship, to put it with an understatement, is not perfect.

Bridgerton has been on Netflix since Christmas. Finished binging? These are the 50 best series on Netflix!
