‘Bridgerton’ actor Regé-Jean Page will appear in ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ movie

Regé-Jean Page, whom we recently got to know as Simon of the Duke of Hastings in Bridgerton, will soon also be seen in the movie about the board game Dungeons & Dragons. Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez and Justice Smith have already been confirmed for that film.

Until about two months ago, Regé-Jean Page was a relatively unknown name, but since his portrayal of the Duke of Hastings in the wildly popular Netflix series Bridgerton he is one of the most in-demand actors of the moment. And that is now further confirmed by his role in the upcoming film about the role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons.

British actor Regé-Jean Page intended Bridgerton already got some roles. For example, he could be seen in Waterloo Road and For the People, for which he worked with Shonda Rhimes for the first time. He was clearly a fan of Page, so she cast him again Bridgerton.

And that was a bull’s eye. Bridgerton grew into the most viewed Netflix series ever and the second season was ordered almost immediately. And it was also a success for the actors from the series. Regé-Jean Page will soon be seen as host in Saturday Night Live and so he will also get a role in the movie based on Dungeons & Dragons.

Regé-Jean Page will thus be featured in the film that will be made around the world Dungeons & Dragons. It will be directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley. They have worked together before Horrible Bosses and Spider-Man: Homecoming. In addition to directing the film, the two are also responsible for the script. That script is based on a first draft by Michael Gilio.

For the time being, nothing is known about the content of the film. With Dungeons & Dragons as a basis it can of course still go in all directions. Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez and Justice Smith have already been confirmed for the film. It is not yet known what roles they will play.
