Champions League: First win Dortmund, Bruges and Lazio draw | Football

Dortmund was the better team against the Russians in the first half, but Haaland and Giovanni Reyna saw shots go just wide. The team from Saint Petersburg mostly limited itself to defending, but still got a big chance before the break through Sebastian Driussi.

The Germans had the perfect opportunity to score 1-0 in the final phase of the second half. Vyatsjeslav Karavajev made a foul on Haaland in the 78th minute and Sancho did not fail from eleven meters. Haaland secured the victory in injury time with the 2-0.

Club Brugge

Club Brugge failed to seize the lead. The Belgians drew 1-1 against Lazio in the Jan Breydel Stadium. Joaquin Correa had already led the visitors from Italy in the 14th minute. Hans Vanaken equalized a penalty before half time, after a foul by Patric on Mats Rits.

In the second half, Bruges got the best chances through Dennis, captain Ruud Vormer and Rits, but it remained 1-1. Noa Lang came in at Bruges in the final phase. Wesley Hoedt played the entire match at Lazio.

Club and Lazio both have four points. Dortmund follows with three points and FC Zenit is still winless.
