Change default picture folder in Word – PC-WORLD

By default, Word opens the personal picture library when importing pictures. How to specify a different picture folder.

When importing pictures into Word via the ribbon “Insert” and “Pictures -› This device ”, the software opens your personal picture library. Often, however, it would be more practical if Word offered your photo folder instead, for example. However, you can change this default.

You can change the standard picture folder of Word in the “Options” of the program with just a few clicks.

If you have changed Word’s default picture folder, the folder you want will always open. Even after restarting Word.
To do this, open “File -› Options ”and click on“ Advanced ”. Scroll down to the General section and click File Locations. Highlight “Pictures”, click on “Change” and select the desired folder. Apply the new setting with two clicks on “OK”.
