Four billion euros At the beginning of the crisis, the federal government is offering aid. Chancellor Sebastian Kurz and Finance Minister Gernot Blümel announced this on March 18
€ 38 billion corona relief package.
This includes: the four billion euro crisis management fund, 15 billion euro for emergency aid, nine million for credit guarantees and around 10 billion euro for tax deferrals
12 billion euros for short-time work
are currently available to secure around 1.3 million jobs in Austria. In the manufacturing area alone there are 350,000 jobs, in the retail sector around 300,000 and in the hotel and catering industry around 100,000 jobs.
