Corona help new: billions flow directly to companies

Four billion euros At the beginning of the crisis, the federal government is offering aid. Chancellor Sebastian Kurz and Finance Minister Gernot Blümel announced this on March 18

€ 38 billion corona relief package.
This includes: the four billion euro crisis management fund, 15 billion euro for emergency aid, nine million for credit guarantees and around 10 billion euro for tax deferrals

12 billion euros for short-time work
are currently available to secure around 1.3 million jobs in Austria. In the manufacturing area alone there are 350,000 jobs, in the retail sector around 300,000 and in the hotel and catering industry around 100,000 jobs.

To stand opposite 532,693 unemployed on May 18th
For comparison: In mid-April there was the provisional high with 588,205 unemployed

153,000 hardship fund applications
has the Chamber of Commerce in phase I (16. 3. – 15. 4. 4.)
processed, 160 million euros were paid out; this corresponds to an average of 1,046 euros per self-employed person. Phase II applies to the observation period from April 16, 2020 to May 15, 2020
