Original message from July 28th: Corona-Warn-App 2.25 is here
The Robert Koch Institute, Deutsche Telekom and SAP have released version 2.25 of the Corona-Warn-App (CWA). This time there are no new features, only text adjustments. To be more precise: The developers have “updated the recommendations for behavior in risk encounters (red and green tiles) in accordance with the recommendations of the RKI”. This mainly affects the recommendations on contact restrictions and wearing masks.
A picture says more than a thousand words, these two pictures with the screenshots placed side by side clearly show the text changes:

There should also be “small improvements and adjustments”. However, the developers did not give any details.
Continue to use CWA despite “corona fatigue”.
Of course, the creators of the Corona-Warn-App also know that people are getting tired when it comes to Corona, Covid-19 and the corresponding protective measures. After all, it’s summer, people are getting excited about the outdoors and festivals, and the pandemic seems far away. Especially since there are more pressing issues with the Ukraine war, inflation and, above all, the massively rising energy prices. That is why those responsible for the CWA are expressly promoting the continued use of their app: “In the current pandemic situation, it is still useful and important to use the CWA and its functions, especially to warn other users.”
The update is being rolled out as always with the CWA:
It should be available to all users within 48 hours. As always, iOS users can also download the new version directly from the App Store. As usual, Android users will have to wait to get the update because they cannot download it manually.
