Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time introduces Tawna

Tawna Bandicoot was featured on PlayStation Blog today as a playable character in Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time revealed. She strengthens the group around Crash, Coco, Neo Cortex and Dingodile. Tawna’s design was revised, she comes from an alternative dimension to Crash and Coco, where she experiences her own adventure. Tawna is full of passion and ambition and brings her very own style of play. She is now an adventurer and heroine herself. A longer gameplay video from PlayStation Underground shows how Tawna actually plays.

Josh Nadelberg, Art Director at Toys for Bob, continues:

In addition to her new cool look and the crucial role she plays in the story, we’ve also given her a new play style and a strong move set. Each of the three new playable characters in Crash 4 is characterized by a very unique way of moving and interacting with the world. Dingodile uses his vacuum to get an extra swinging jump, Neo Cortex has a move for particularly fast progress and Tawna is no exception.

In addition to being as strong as she looks, Tawna has the ability to snap a multipurpose hook that allows her to cross plains, attack enemies, and break open boxes from a great distance. She also has a devastating ground punch attack, spin kicks, and reaches new heights with her acrobatic wall jump. Experiencing the game through Tawna’s eyes feels dynamic, flowing and refreshing. Of course, we stay true to the precision and intensity that make Crash Bandicoot such a unique platform experience.
