Alternative methods: take screenshots with Samsung, Huawei, and Xiaomi phones

The above method naturally also works with current smartphones from Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi. Among other things, these three manufacturers offer alternative options for saving the screen content.

Screenshot with Samsung:

If you have a Samsung cell phone, you can also take a screenshot with a gesture. If activated in the settings, you can simply swipe the edge of your hand over the screen and the mobile phone will take a screenshot. If you have a Galaxy Note model, you can also take the screenshot using the S-Pen.

Screenshot with Huawei:

With Huawei devices, you can simply tap the display twice in quick succession with your knuckle to take a screenshot – it’s very simple! This also works with the devices from Honor.

Screenshot with Xiaomi:

Xiaomi also allows you to save a screenshot using gestures. If activated in the settings, then simply swipe with three fingers from the top of the screen to the bottom. Alternatively, you can just pull down the status bar and then tap on the corresponding command.

Share screenshot

Of course, you can also share your recorded screen. In most cases, the screenshot will appear at the bottom right after the screenshot. If you tap on this, you will see the “Share” option next to the editing functions. Then select the appropriate platform such as Mail, Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and Co. and send the screenshot. Or you can go the classic way via the gallery, in which the screenshot is saved as an image and shared as such.
