Deutsche Bahn’s website is complex, after all customers have to be able to find the ticket they want with just a few clicks or book a suitable train connection for a planned trip quickly and easily. With a redesign called “DB Next”, Deutsche Bahn is currently working on a new look for the mobile apps and the Bahn.de website.
Available as a beta version
The new Deutsche Bahn website offers an optimized design. In addition, the booking system has also been completely redesigned. According to the operators, this results in better user guidance and a faster search for the right ticket. There is even talk of a new basis for the “digital future of travel”. If you want to take a look at these full-bodied promises, you can do so now.
Ticket comparison not possible
The new Deutsche Bahn website can be accessed in the browser at next.bahn.de. Both the new and the old look of the website are available in parallel and are compatible with each other. So if you have a regular account for bahn.de, you can also use it in the beta version of the new website. Tickets can also be booked via the new website. However, the operators point out that tickets purchased via bahn.de or the DB Navigator app are not yet displayed on next.bahn.de or in the Next DB Navigator. However, BahnBonus points can also be collected on the new Bahn website. All you have to do is tick the “Collect BahnBonus points” box when booking.
New features and troubleshooting
In the coming months, the operators want to integrate further functions. Exactly which ones are remains open. In addition, they want to look out for errors in the beta version. If a function is therefore not available, the old website at bahn.de is the only way out.
