The National Organization of Social Counselors (LOSR) and the Dutch Association for People’s Credit (NVVK) warned about this on Saturday evening in the television program Kassa. They point out that VVD minister Dekker (Legal Protection) is raising the rates of bailiffs in the middle of the corona crisis, especially when a boom in blame questions is expected.
According to research by Kassa, the rates will increase by an average of 16% and mainly the most common costs will increase. For example, issuing a judgment at home becomes 35% more expensive, which is € 108, according to the consumer program. A writ of summons is almost a fifth more expensive at € 98.
The rate increase is based on a report by the Oskam Committee, but the Financial Supervision Office (BFT) calls the substantiation of the report inadequate. The Dutch Association of Certified Collection Companies (NVI) also advocates reconsidering the rate increases.
