You have received a new SIM card from Deutsche Telekom. And now want to change the PIN? No problem: just like with one
Vodafone SIM card
O2 SIM card
you can change your PIN in no time at all with a Telekom SIM card with a cell phone code (USSD). And it works like this:
Open the virtual telephone keypad of your smartphone and enter this sequence of characters: ** 04 * ALTEPIN * NEUEPIN * NEUEPIN # and then press “call”. Then the PIN should be replaced.
By ALTEPIN we mean the PIN that Deutsche Telekom sent with the new SIM card. By NEUEPIN we mean the PIN that you want to use in the future.
: Modern smartphone operating systems such as iOS have a menu item in the settings for changing the PIN (for example on the iPhone with iOS 12.1.4. Under “Settings, mobile network, SIM PIN, change PIN”) You can of course also take it, but our tip works faster and works independently of the smartphone operating system and the specific smartphone model.

By the way: You shouldn’t have any size problems with the new SIM card. Today’s SIM cards usually come as a template from which you can break out the SIM in three different sizes. One SIM card thus covers all three common SIM card formats. Because SIM cards are available in four different sizes: Standard SIM (which has not been used in cell phones, smartphones or tablets for a long time), Mini SIM (which is still often used in “normal” cell phones alias Features Phones) and Micro and nano SIM for smartphones and tablets.
