Diego Armando Maradona, one of the best and most colorful footballers in history, has died of a heart attack.
During his entire football career, the Argentine broke many records, not only on the field, but also through transfers that were historically expensive for the time, once to FC Barcelona and then to SSC Naples.
On the other hand, the superstar had a dissolute private life during and after his time as an active footballer – full of excesses and marked by drug addiction. Maradona lived the life of a multi-millionaire but owed the Italian treasury millions of dollars in unpaid taxes.
After the end of his career as a player, Maradona failed to really gain a foothold, either as a coach or in private life. After his death, the legendary “10” only left a fortune of around 100,000 dollars, reported the sports newspaper “Goal”.
