How many streaming providers have you already subscribed to? After Paramount, Warner Bros. Discovery has now also announced that it will bring its own streaming service discovery+ to Germany.

With discovery+, another streaming service is coming onto the German market.

The streaming service discovery+ will start on June 28, 2022 in Germany. This was announced by Warner Bros. Discovery in a press release. The service, which started in India in 2020 and in the USA a year later, mainly offers documentation and content from the areas of lifestyle, living and eating, true crime, paranormal, adventure, science, technology or the environment, as well as sports offers such as the Tour de France and Tennis Grand Slam tournaments. Linear channels can also be streamed, such as DMAX, Tele 5 and Eurosport 1 & 2.
Advertising or no advertising: discovery+ offers several payment models
How much you have to pay for the streaming service depends on whether you can live with the occasional advert. Because discovery+ offers two different payment models. The ad-free version will cost EUR 5.99 per month, alternatively you can take out an advertising-supported subscription for EUR 3.99 per month. It is also cheaper when you take out an annual subscription, then you only pay 59.99 euros (ad-free) or 39.99 euros (ad-supported). Thanks to a partnership with Sky Germany, discovery+ is free for Sky-Q customers for a year at the start.
Prime Video remains the most popular streaming service in Germany
The streaming service can be called up via apps for all common platforms, the web browser and various smart TV and streaming devices.
