Disney +: Billing errors with annual subscriptions – additional payment is due

Disney+ charged too little for annual subscribers. Disney + now gets the remaining amount extra.

Happy too early: We were also amazed when Disney+ recently deducted only 69.99 euros from our account for the annual subscription, although it actually costs 89.90 euros since the last price increase. This increased price has been in effect since February 23, 2021 with the launch of the “Star” section, as we also reported in January 2021.
A quick search earlier this week revealed that other Disney+ annual subscribers were also being charged just $69.99. Of course we didn’t want to complain to Disney+, but the problem has now been noticed there. On Thursday afternoon we received an e-mail from Disney+ mentioning a billing error. In addition to the EUR 69.99 that has already been debited, a further EUR 19.91 is to be debited shortly. In total, that’s 89.90 euros.
The wording of the email from Disney+ with the subject “An information about your annual contract renewal”:
“Thank you for your Disney+ subscription! As we informed you in a previous email, your subscription should be renewed at the annual price of €89.90. Due to a billing error, the renewal of your subscription will be billed as two separate charges: one for 69 €.99 that’s already happened and a €19.91 one that’s coming soon. The total price remains the same. You don’t have to do anything – we’ll take care of the rest!
We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to sharing another year of incredible stories with you.”
