Disney + is (finally!) Released in Belgium

Disney fans have had a lot of patience, but now the time has finally come: Disney + is available in our country! Disney’s streaming service already appeared in November last year, including in the Netherlands. It was then expected that the platform would also come to Belgium soon, but nothing could be further from the truth.

Good news for everyone who has been impatiently waiting for the release of Disney + in Belgium for almost a year, because today is the day! Anyone who subscribes can enjoy unlimited access to existing and new content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic.

8 new countries

“We have surpassed 60.5 million paid subscribers worldwide and today we continue our international expansion with the launch of Disney + in eight countries,” said Disney. The eight countries in question are Portugal, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Profiles and downloads

In one subscription 7 profiles (including custom kidsprofiles) can be created, of which 4 can stream at the same time. Moreover, unlimited series and films can be downloaded on 10 different devices.

The Mandalorian

From the beginning, Disney + offered existing and exclusive content. The showpiece was The Mandalorian. The series, which takes place in the Star Warsworld, was available from the moment Disney + was released.

The series was such a huge success that it now got its own documentary series: Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian. This series consists of eight episodes, in which viewers get to see interviews with the makers, a look behind the scenes and funny anecdotes.

Second and third season

And to celebrate the new wave of Disney + launches, the platform will soon be releasing the second season of The Mandalorian. The second season will pick up where the first season ended and will still take place between the films Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens from the Star Warsfilm series. The third season of the series has already been confirmed, although it is still unclear when the shooting will start.
