according to the manufacturer DJI is planning a new drone model for indoor flights. The drone is rumored to be codenamed “Avata” and weighs around 500 grams.

Protected rotors for indoor flights

As can be seen in the first putative render images of the drone, the model features channeled rotors. This design decision is to prevent the rotors from being damaged when the drone collides with an obstacle during indoor flights. According to the leaks, the camera in the DJI “Avata” should be comparable to that in the DJI Mini 3 Pro. The camera in the mini drone takes photos with 48 megapixels and videos in 4K at up to 60 frames per second. With a maximum aperture of f/1.7, the lens is also very bright.

Goggles for first-person flights

According to the rumors, the DJI “Avata” will come with glasses that allow pilots to fly from the first-person perspective. The new DJI drone is also rumored to have a much longer battery life than the Mini 3 Pro. It is not yet known exactly when the new DJI “Avata” will be launched and what it will cost. An official announcement by DJI is still pending.
