One example is our photo vehicle from Autohus in Bockel near Bremen, which was first registered in July 2019. According to the Schwacke database, the fine Frenchman cost 40,830 euros new three years ago. After 108,604 kilometers it still costs 24,980 euros in elegant black, on 19-inch Beijing alloy wheels and with a panoramic roof and heated seats.

DS 7 Crossback used: A Q5 does not attract more attention

The French car, which is pleasingly spacious on the front and rear seats, emphasizes its special position in the brand and model portfolio with numerous visual accents that strive for a sharp differentiation from the sibling models.

The DS 7 Crossback should particularly appeal to individualists. The SUV lives up to the reputation of the comfortable French.

This is matched by the pleasantly low background noise of the French with optional insulating glass. Efforts to create an independent premium interior ambience can be seen in the high-quality surfaces, shimmering metallic switches and overall successful workmanship.

The DS 7 also holds the class connection digitally

After a good two and a half orbits around the world, are there any noticeable signs of aging? Nothing rattles on the extended test drive. Only the shift gate and the entrances look a bit battered.

And it also holds digitally DS 7 the class connection: the on-board infotainment offers a practical CarPlay connection in addition to TomTom navigation maps. However, like most assistants, extras such as the well-functioning night vision camera cost extra and were therefore not always installed.

Individual details are not quite as premium as hoped: there is only a pull-out leg rest on the driver’s side, and the computer tends to forget the ambience light theme last selected. For that he convinces DS 7 with practical skills and gives passengers the noble feeling of setting themselves apart from the mainstream.

However, this does not apply to the driving performance of the tested BlueHDI 130 (Euro 6d TEMP). The strength of the 130 hp diesel version is its good economy. Consumptions between five and six liters are easily achievable. And the power is enough for a relaxed swim in the lowlands anyway.

In complete contrast to the 1200 three-cylinder turbo petrol engine, which is nominally equally strong but in practice is significantly weaker. For left-lane highway driving and mountainous regions, the more powerful versions are more recommended.

E-Tense hybrid versions are significantly more expensive

The 225 hp used versions, or the 300 hp all-wheel drive E-Tense hybrid versions, are noticeably more expensive. They currently start in the used markets from 41,400 euros. With the 13.2 kWh battery, purely electric ranges of up to 50 kilometers are realistic in practice. The charging capacity of 7.4 kW is not unusual, but not really fast either.

Recently there was a facelift: in addition to a revised front, fresh equipment lines and more modern infotainment, there are now three hybrid variants from 225 to 360 hp, each with 14.2 kWh battery capacity. Secondhand makes the exotic DS 7 makes perfect sense: haute couture has rarely been more affordable and suitable for everyday use.
