Xiaomi recently presented its new e-scooters for the German market. The new electric scooters Xiaomi Scooter 4 Pro and Xiaomi Scooter 3 have been commercially available since August. Unexpectedly, the Chinese manufacturer is now sending another model into the ring on September 1, 2022: the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 3
Lite
. This is slightly cheaper than the existing models.

And Lite isn’t just an add-on here. The “little brother” of the new Xiaomi 3 model only weighs around 13 kg and is therefore quite comfortable, even if it has to be carried a bit.
However, there are losses in performance and range. The Lite version has a maximum range of 20 kilometers with a nominal output of 300 watts, making it ideal for short distances or for use in an urban environment. Otherwise, the scooter offers the well-known Xiaomi quality, with a simple folding mechanism, 8.5-inch pneumatic tires and a drum brake on the rear wheel as well as E-ABS to ensure safe driving and stopping.
Another highlight for some: The Lite Scooter will be available in two colours, the well-known black and the modern white.
The biggest advantage of the Lite Scooter is of course the price. This is a bit cheaper than the Xiaomi Scooter 3, for example. Xiaomi is aiming for an RRP of 499 euros. If you need a little more power or a longer range, it’s worth taking a look at the Xiaomi Scooter 3 & Scooter 4 Pro models that have already been released.
The Xiaomi Scooter 3 weighs just over 13 kilograms, similar to the Lite version, but offers a plus in terms of performance and range. The scooter has a maximum nominal power of 600 watts and can travel up to 30 kilometers. You can currently get the mid-range scooter from Xiaomi at a price of 549 euros.
