Echo Dot 4th Gen available at a bargain price on Amazon

The exciting two-echoes-for-the-price-of-one offer no longer exists. But if you now want to buy an Echo speaker at a reduced price and it does not have to have a display, then there may be two interesting alternatives for you:

Echo Dot 4th generation with clock in white for 39.99 euros instead of 69.99 euros

Echo Dot 4th generation without clock in anthracite for 29.99 euros instead of 59.99 euros

Both offers are the little brother of the Echo 4th generation (you can find its test report here: Echo 4th gen. in the test – smart speaker with good sound & smart home hub). Once with an LED clock and once without this LED clock. We tested both variants: Echo Dot 4th Gen. and Echo Dot 4th Gen. with clock in the test.

From our test conclusion: “We see its design as a significant advancement, the new Echo Dot is absolutely suitable for the living room. Of course, the sound does not reach the level of particularly high-quality speakers, but it is completely sufficient for background music and for listening to audio books and news. Especially since you can also use the full range of Alexa functions with the small Echo.”

For whom Echo Show is better suited

The Echo Dot is suitable, for example, as a radio alarm clock or as a smart speaker in the kitchen. But you have to be aware that this Echo Dot 4th Gen has no display. So if, for example, you want to read the lyrics to a song that is currently playing or conduct video conferences or enjoy videos on the Echo, then you have to use an Echo Show.
