The American presenter Ellen DeGeneres has received a lot of comment in recent weeks. That happened after former employees accused DeGeneres of being racist and intimidating.
That’s how DeGeneres has a brand called Be Kind (be nice), but apparently that does not apply to the presenter. “Which Be Kind nonsense only happens when the cameras are on. It’s all for show, “says a former contributor to BuzzFeed News.
“We’re going to talk about it”
Now Ellen DeGerenes wants to tell her side of the story. And she will do that in the eighteenth season of her talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “I can’t wait to get back to work and return to our studio. And yes, we are going to talk about it ”, says the presenter.
The show will start on September 21. American actress Tiffany Haddish will be the first studio guest in the new season. Model Chrissy Teigen, actor Alec Baldwin and actress Kerry Washington will also be present.
The following episodes will also feature actors Adam Sandler, Chris Rock and Orlando Bloom. But also stand-up comedian and actress Amy Schumer will be seen in one of the first episodes.
But this announcement does not come without responses. Several comments have already appeared on Twitter such as: “Ellen DeGeneres shouldn’t have a show to return to. She had an extremely toxic work environment where people were harassed and belittled. In response, they gave employees vacation days that should have been anyway. ”
Another Twitterer stated that DeGeneres would have waited to respond until the premiere of the eighteenth season. Wait to talk about it to get good ratings at the season premiere. Get out, Ellen. You’re disgusting.”
