Elon Musk aims for a record under 7 minutes

With the Model S Plaid +, Tesla is able to go for the records. The sedan could even take its revenge on the Nürbugring.

Shortly before its arrival, the Porsche Taycan distinguished itself with a record on the north loop of the Nürburgring, the ultimate time to hold. Tesla then tried to reclaim his title with an enlarged and doped Model S, to no avail. But the Palo Alto firm has not said its last word.

Now relying on the Tesla Model S Plaid +, Elon Musk plans to send a copy to the Green Hell not only to steal the title from the electric Zuffenhausen, but also to clinch a record in the sedan category.

A record in the all-energy sedan category

With over 1,100 hp, 0-100 km / h in 2.1 seconds and a top speed of 320 km / h, the Model S Plaid +, the electric sedan will have to do better than the 7’42 time of the Taycan Turbo S or that the 7’21”23 time of the Jaguar XE SV Project 8.

But Elon Musk is confident, considering a time of less than 7 minutes for the Model S Plaid +. A stopwatch that leaves you wondering, since the electric would then enter the sphere of road missiles, ahead of the Nio EP9, the fastest electric (excluding Volkswagen ID.R competition).
