There is no association between the Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine and post-vaccination deaths. This has been announced by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) on the basis of an analysis of the data of some deaths after the administration of that corona vaccine.
One month ago, the European Union started using the first approved corona vaccine, that of Pfizer and BioNTech. Even after that approval, the European Medicines Agency will continue to monitor the product. This still shows that using drug is safe. EMA has announced this.
The European Medicines Agency bases its decision on data from all EU countries that use the Pfizer vaccine. After analysis, no new side effects appeared to have surfaced compared to those already known during the test phases. This mainly concerns allergic reactions.
The EMA also investigated some suspicious deaths in vulnerable people who had just received the corona vaccine. The most striking case is 23 deaths in Norway. However, there would be no relationship whatsoever between those deaths and the vaccine administered. The EMA Safety Committee therefore concludes that the Pfizer vaccine is safe even for frail elderly.
In the future, the European Medicines Agency will continue to monitor possible side effects of all approved corona vaccines through a central EU database. It does the same for Moderna and AstraZeneca vaccines, if approved.
