A programmer and GTA Online fan named T0st has developed a solution that allows the game to load up to 70 percent faster. The game manufacturer Rockstar liked this so much that it has now been integrated as a patch with the latest update.
As of this week, the game should therefore have significantly reduced loading times for some people. The first users were actually enthusiastic, as reported by PC Games.
On average, the loading times are reduced by up to 70 percent. For some users, however, the difference is significantly greater. They report, for example, that loading the game only takes 2 minutes instead of 7 minutes or just 35 seconds instead of 5 minutes.
$ 10,000 reward
T0st will now receive US $ 10,000 from the game manufacturer Rockstar Games from the bug bounty program. This is usually used to report security flaws, but the game manufacturer made an exception. According to the programmer, the game company also asked for other technical details.
The programmer was annoyed by the long loading times and therefore looked independently for a solution to fix the problem. In Red Dead Redemption 2, the program start works similarly to GTA Online, so the programmer’s solution would have to improve the loading times of the game here as well.
