The Fritzbox 5590 Fiber announced in February is now commercially available. The price: 289 euros (RRP). As AVM announced on Monday, the new model is the “fastest Fritzbox of all time”. If you have a fiber optic connection, you can use the Fritzbox 5590 Fiber to surf at speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second and much more.
You can use the Fritzbox 5590 Fiber nationwide in connection with fiber optic connections from all Internet providers, such as those from Deutsche Fiber or the fiber optic tariffs of Deutsche Telekom. You can connect this new Fritzbox model directly to the fiber optic socket and then use it as an “all-in-one device” for fast Internet, WLAN, streaming, IP telephony, smart home and networking.

Surf the WLAN with up to 2,400 MBit/s
The Fritzbox 5590 supports fiber WLAN with the standard Wi-FI 6 (4 x 4) and achieves data rates of up to 2,400 Mbit/s at 5 gigahertz so that you can also surf wirelessly in the home network as quickly as possible with the high fiber optic speed. You can surf at up to 1,200 Mbit/s in the 2.4 GHz band. A 2.5 gigabit WAN/LAN port and four gigabit LAN ports are available for wired use.
